What are secondary health services?
Secondary care means health services that can provide care for more specialised health issues. A GP will
review your health needs during the appointment. Your GP may be able support you with your health needs,
or they may refer you to secondary care to see a specialist.

Emergency services should be used in the following circumstances: Medical emergency or life-threatening situation (such as choking, chest pain, severe bleeding)
