What's on in Barnet - Dementia Action Week 2025

This Dementia Action Week, Barnet Public Health and partners are hosting events and opportunities to learn more about dementia and find support for those living with dementia and their carers, to encourage everyone to act on dementia.
Dementia Friendly Information Pop-Ups
Wednesday 21 May, 10am-1pm
The Spires Shopping Centre, 111 High Street, Barnet, EN5 5XY
Thursday 22 May, 12pm-2pm
artsdepot, 5 Nether Street, North Finchley, N12 0GA
Come along to learn more about dementia, get support for anyone living with
dementia or caring for someone with dementia, and find out how you can act on
dementia and get involved in Barnet’s Dementia Friendly recognition scheme.
Free and open to all, pop by for a chat.
Dementia Friendly tour: First World War in the Air
Wednesday 21 May, Arrival & Refreshments: 2.30pm, Tour: 3-3.45pm
RAF Museum, NW9 5LL (Meet at Hangar 1 entrance)
Discover more about the history of flight and the Royal Air Force in this bespoke
dementia friendly tour. This tour will take the ‘First World War in the Air’ exhibition
as its focus. For people living with dementia and their carer or companion.

Dementia information evening with cheese & wine
Tuesday 27 May, 5.30-7pm
Magnolia Court Care Home, 181 Granville Rd, NW2 2LH
Come along to speak to a variety of organisations offering support for people living
with dementia - open to all Barnet residents.
